Hi there Jeep owners. Today in your 2018 JL Wrangler Unlimited, We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install REDARC's Tow-Pro Elite trailer brake controller. To help us with this installation, we'll be using kit ETBC7 here at etrailer. The REDARC Elite is a premium brake controller that is hidden behind your dash. Unlike traditional brake controllers that have a large unit that sticks out that you're likely to hit your knees on all the time every time you get in and out this one's going to be completely hidden with just a small button on the dash that allows you to control the output as well as the manual application of the brakes, by pushing in on the button. To install this, we're also going to need each trailer's universal trailer brake controller wiring kit. Now this is going to let you use your trailer brakes, whether they're electric or hydraulic. You can switch between the two. Now, that's a good thing because you won't have to use your brakes on your Jeep to do all the stopping. Now this is a proportional brake controller, which that means the harder you hit the brakes on your Jeep, the more your trailer brakes are going to be applied. more
